Clinical Work: Medical director of the Georgetown Partial Hospitalization Program, provides care for adults in the outpatient clinic, treats patients with treatment-resistant depression with TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), teaches and supervises medical students and residents.

Research Focus: Neuromodulation and novel treatments for treatment-resistant depression, conceptualization of extreme overvalued beliefs in the forensic arena.

BIO

Dr. Xiong is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine and the medical director of the Georgetown Partial Hospitalization Program. In addition, she provides care for adults in the outpatient clinic, and also teaches and supervises Georgetown medical students and psychiatry residents.

Dr. Xiong is board certified in general psychiatry and forensic psychiatry; she completed her residency training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine. Her research has centered on neuromodulation treatments for treatment-resistant depression and conceptualization of extreme overvalued beliefs in the forensic arena.
