BIO
Dr. Reinhard is currently the director of a national VA program (War Related Illness and Injury Study Center at Washington DC VAMC- WRIISC-DC), which follows a translational model whereby observations from clinical care lead to research questions and key gaps in clinical knowledge, resulting in competitively funded projects and an ability to provide education nationally to the field, thus influencing clinical care. The WRIISC has become a VA foundational service and is essential to the VHA mission. He also developed and directs the Complex Exposure Threats Center of Excellence (CETCE), a nationally recognized center with a focus on health threat detection, exposure cohort management, specialized clinical evaluations, innovative research, and education.
Areas of Research: Cognitive and Neuropsychological factors of PTSD, Complimentary and Integrative treatment for PTSD, Deployment health, Neurocognitive effects of environmental toxin exposure
